10 different tracks for your unique wedding : part two

Our last music related wedding blog post got so many lovely comments that we've written a part two!

Now...we can't get enough of You've Got The Love by the wildly brilliant Florence & The Machine. However if you're wanting to steer clear of the most overplayed wedding songs (I Will Always Love You will forever be a classic) then you'll need to branch out and listen to a few different options.

Below is a small list of only ten songs that we would recommend to make your wedding a tad more unique, whatever your taste we're sure there will be something in the list for you!

At the very least, this list should help you broaden your search for something different to play on your big day!

1. This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) - Natalie Cole

Used in a lot of film and television soundtracks, this song is a celebration song with a melody that will lift everybody's spirits to sky high! Definitely one to keep in mind for your ceremony, whether it be walking down the aisle or your grand exit.

2. Songbird - Eva Cassidy

This is the perfect understated song, soft and not too 'in your face'. Another song that is great for your ceremony, I would recommend this one for walking down the aisle or for signing the register.

3. Share Your Address - Ben Platt

This song is a more upbeat love song with a comical twist. Ben Platt's incredible voice lends itself to this catchy tune that can fit into your day virtually anywhere!

4. I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - Sleeping At Last

This acoustic cover of the Proclaimers classic tune takes your guests on a new spin with an old favourite. It's perfect for your walk down the aisle.

5. The Wine Song - The Cat Empire

This song is not for the faint hearted! Play this song when your evening party is in full swing and we can guarantee it will take your celebration to the next level. The Cat Empire play a foot tapping mixture of Ska, Jazz & Indie music that will fill your dance floor in no time!

6. All I Want Is You - Barry Louis Polisar

This is a sweet folky song, famous for being on the 'Juno' soundtrack. It's a great track to play whilst you are signing the register.

7. God Only Knows - The Beach Boys

This song brings back some serious 'Love Actually' memories! It's great to play for your grand exit or maybe even your first dance song.

8. Take My Hand (The Wedding Song) - Emily Hackett & Will Anderson

Another folk addition to the list, this one is perfect for walking down the aisle or playing whilst you are signing the register.

9. You And Me - You+Me

This is a sweet, understated melody that can fit in anywhere during your ceremony. You+Me comprises the vocal talents of both P!nk and City & Colour's Dallas Green. Stepping out of their comfort zones, they released a whole album together and any of the songs from that album would be suitable! We thought that this one in particular deserves an honourable mention.

10. You're The One That I Want - Grease

For some reason this song seems to have completely dropped off the wedding radar over the last few years! It's a great first dance song, everybody knows the words and the beat in undeniable! If you have musical theatre fans at your wedding then this tune is a must.

Well we hope that this list gave you some ideas to help you out musically at your wedding! There will definitely be more posts like this to come!
